Her experience in large-scale sustainable infrastructure gives her deep insight into the complexities clean tech companies face when commercializing breakthrough technologies. At IIT Kharagpur, where she studied architecture, Akhila developed a rigorous approach to design thinking that balances aesthetic innovation with functional requirements—a philosophy she now applies to helping climate tech startups create products that are both beautiful and viable. Her architectural background uniquely positions her to understand how clean energy solutions integrate into existing built environments, making her invaluable when designing interfaces for building energy management systems, grid optimization platforms, or renewable asset monitoring tools. Tejas combines business growth expertise with design strategy to help clean energy companies scale their innovations. Before co-founding What if Design, he drove business expansion for OYO across three countries and designed training programs that reached 1,700+ people throughout India, giving him firsthand experience in rapid scaling and operational efficiency. His background in business development means he approaches product design with a sharp focus on measurable outcomes: pilot conversions, enterprise sales cycles, and investor engagement. At IIT Kharagpur, where he studied architecture alongside Akhila, Tejas cultivated a systems-thinking approach that he now applies to designing climate tech products that must serve multiple stakeholder groups—from technical engineers to CFOs to regulatory bodies. His ability to translate complex sustainability innovations into clear value propositions has helped climate tech clients raise multiple funding rounds and win strategic utility partnerships. Tejas understands that for clean energy solutions to succeed, the product experience must be as compelling as the underlying technology. His work focuses on creating digital products that don't just function well, but actively accelerate adoption and market penetration for climate solutions.
